I finally made it. Riding in an Amtrak Roomette is effin' boss. Union Station is really beautiful now. Amtrak vouchered me a cab from LA to Long Beach because the train was too late for the bus.

I rode almost every Metro Rail line in Los Angeles. I didn't get to ride the Expo Line, and the part of the Gold Line between Union Station and Little Tokyo is being bus-bridged for some major construction project. But I've made the Blue, Green, and Red/Purple lines my bitch.

Meanwhile, I can definitely see the legacy of A. Philip Randolph here at Union Station.

TBH, if I could, I'd ride the Amtrak in a roomette again. Maybe go the other way, up to Portland? I just can't see myself riding Coach like a peasant again. At least not on long trips.
